check, Brotherhood of St. Luke, from Warsaw with the 7 tempera paintings to the Polish Pavilion =
Tadeusz Pruszkowski, 1888-1942 = check his self-portrait with pipe
Also, then, July 4, 1940 there was a 2-day bomb warning, bomb found at the British Exhibit and walked 150 feet to a quieter place outside the Polish Pavilion, killing 2 NYPD and hurting 5 others, but the main one, Joseph J. Lynch, the NY Daily News’ photo of him is clearly a Shahan while the other photos of Lynch don’t seem to look like a Shahan-type, like I guess Pruszkowski had been, but similarly there’s some mix-up with one of the sites’ mislabeling him in the big group photo of the 10/11 of the Brotherhood with that, The victims of the fire, painting.

check le moyne college library’s de ropp polish art collection, — i have to sign out rather than take the chance on getting cut off by these bums….
— this isn’t going well. Baron stefan k. de ropp commissioned and then donated those 7 paintings to le moyne college, syracuse, ny, but that jesuit school didn’t open until 1946 and now i’m reading that he’d gone from the Fair to becoming an adjunct professor at le moyne, and then that the paintings weren’t on display until 1958.
baron stefan k. de ropp, 1893-1983
the school has a write-up. after wwii he’d founded the polish information center
/resources . library . lemoyne . edu/arts/de-ropp-polish-art-collection/home = this is the only place I can find a picture of Stefan De Ropp, in 1939 with Grover Whalen of the Fair. De Ropp looks maybe like Mr. Arnolfini, who maybe looks a little like of or from van Eyck maybe, “grown” fertilizations maybe. Whatever it isn’t much to go on, and there’s a little biography.
stephen kyburg de ropp, one has it.
wikipedia: etc., for that that was the 1st millennium, then this to me this 2nd millennium. But the main point is that I guess at that Otto III had gone north from the Domenichino St. Nilus painting, the system looking to link the southern takeover with their northern sneaking around, otto being the connection there, making that trip to find each other.
In March 1000 Emperor Otto III came to Gniezno to pray at the tomb of now blessed St. Adalbert. He then called the Congress of Gniezno, where Polish Prince Bolesław I the Brave and the Emperor discussed plans to create a joint kingdom of Germany, France, Rome, England and Slavic States. He initiate the creation of the Archdiocese of Gniezno and the first metropolis church in Poland, subordinate only to the pope. The first appointed archbishop was Radzim Gaudenty. In 1018 a fire started in the temple and it took in seven years to repair the structure.
